CTCC chief Bahl warns not to fall victim to false propaganda of BJP

The policies of the UPA government in the centre are for the welfare of the country. Our leaders have always worked for the betterment of people and it is now time to vote for the Congress to continue the development process.

Mrs. Madhu Bansal, wife of Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal, Congress candidate from Chandigarh on Thursday night while addressing a rally in Maloya spoke about various developmental works carried out by Mr. Bansal out of the MPLAD funds being the city MP.

Among the prominent party leaders who were present on the occasion included sarpanches of nearby villages, CTCC president Mr. B.B. Bahl, mayor Mr. H.C. Kalyan and former mayor Mr. Subhash Chawla, besides Ms. Poonam Sharma, Principal Gurbachan Singh and other party supporters and workers.

Mr. B.B. Bahl while addressing the large rally criticized the policies of BJP. He said the BJP was trying to mislead the people and said the people of villages were wise enough to vote for the right candidate Mr. Bansal as he had brought a lot of changes in amenities to city villages. He appealed to the villagers to vote for Congress candidate in the forthcoming elections on April 10.

The villagers on this occasion who had turned up in large numbers said they would only vote for Mr. Bansal as he had set an example in not just last five years but 15 years and that was the reason why people had full faith in him and always voted for him.

Around 45 BJP workers and leaders today joined the Congress on the occasion which included Mr. Jagdish Rana, Maloya village pradhan. Mr. Bahl congratulated the new members and honoured them on the occasion.

Early Friday morning Mr. Bansal carried out a Padyatra in village Khuda Lahora. The villagers fully supported the Congress and shouted slogans in the favour of the party. Other party supporters and leaders present there informed the villagers about the people friendly policies of the government and also the development works carried out by Mr. Bansal as MP.

Meanwhile, in a written statement, the Maharashtra Mandal wished Mr. Bansal a thumping victory in the elections which will prove a boon to the resident s and Maharashtrian community in particular. Madhav Bhaskar Sane, the president of the Mandal lauded the performance of Mr. Bansal and his concern towards the community.
